A traditional crafting activity, pressing flowers is a great way to explore and appreciate wildflowers and incorporate them into making cards and colleages.
This small flower press is great for a beginner. The wooden plates are tightened with strong metal nuts in each corner. Open by unscrewing the butterfly nuts to reveal lots of sheets of blotting paper.
Place petals, flowers and leaves between two sheets of blotting paper then screw the nuts slowly, pressing the papers together. Leave for several days - or weeks! - and then undo to reveal beautifully pressed, dried items inside.
The flower press measures 10cm by 10cm square and comes with a booklet full of project ideas and tips.
Make wonderful cards, collages and pictures with your pressed flowers and leaves. The press can be used time and time again. If the paper supplied runs out, simply by purchasing ordinary blotting paper or rice paper from a stationary shop.Recommended for ages 6 years and upwards.
